SMOKY QUARTZ, ROOT CHAKRA HEALER
Smoky Quartz is a talisman of the Root Chakra,
the first chakra located at the base of the spine that is the root of our being and connects us with the spiritual energies of our ancestors. The Root Chakra establishes the deepest connections with the physical body, the environment and the Earth. Smoky Quartz protects and grounds us physically and spiritually to this world, and is able to absorb and transmute significant amounts of negative energy and release it into the Earth to be neutralized naturally. Smoky Quartz is an anchor in the natural world, drawing white light energy from the Crown down through the body to be deeply rooted into the physical plane. It initiates movement of primal forces within the body and activates one’s survival instincts in a purified way. It brings strength and stability, and a sense of personal pride in walking the Earth and inhabiting a human form. It is one of the most powerful stones to use in crystal healing layouts to activate and purify the Base or Root Chakra. It may also be used to balance and direct the energy of the upper chakras to the Base Chakra, making the whole system radiant with light and laying a foundation on which the spiritual force can be manifested in the physical body. When the Base Chakra is in balance, the physical body gains strength and stamina, and spiritual energy is rekindled in the form of security and sense of one’s own power. It often leads to independence and spontaneous leadership.
Smoky Quartz allows one to attune to the light instead of being consumed by life. Hold Smoky Quartz to relieve tension and stress, anxiety, or panic attacks; also to ward off negative thinking, and to eliminate worry and doubt when faced with chaos or confusion. To absorb misfortune, sorrow or seemingly impossible obstacles, hold faceted or natural points of Smoky Quartz in each hand pointed down toward the ground, then consciously release these negative energies to Mother Earth for cleansing and repurposing.
For Root Chakra healing, after using the grounding and centering technique of your choice, place a piece of Smoky Quartz on your first chakra (the area between your tailbone and pekpek) or hold it in your hand over the area. Visualize powerful tree roots growing out from your base into the ground, breaking the surface of the ground with absolute power. Grow your amazingly large and powerful roots until they reach the Earth's core. Feel the energies of these roots stabilizing you and feel your foundations as being very strong, able to withstand all of life’s traumas with ease. Begin to see a cone shaped funnel growing out from the base of your Root Chakra to the Universe, and keep growing this funnel until you cannot see the end of it going out into space. If you have any negativity at this point let the funnel catch any of those weak thoughts or darkness and push them out until the darkness is gone and pure white energetic light glows brightly. Feel light energy from the Universe entering you as well-being, strength and stability root you in place.
