WHAT DO YOU DO FOR WORK
I’m the Marketing Manager of the model and influencer agency called Kitten. My goal is to find an authentic medium that fuses fashion and music in some kind of way.
WHY DID YOU MOVE TO NYC, AND DO YOU SEE YOURSELF BEING HERE LONG TERM?
I originally moved to NYC for work reasons, but the more and more I spend my time here the more I realize that I needed a new start and a fresh atmosphere to evolve. I honestly see myself staying here until I master whatever it is I was seNt here to do (only God knows right now).
FIVE PIECES OF ADVICE YOU'D GIVE TO YOUR 14 Y/O SELF
To begin with, I wish I wasn’t so damn bad (God bless my mother). I would tell myself to always trust your instincts and be more in tune to what you want instead of what others want from you. Second, I would say to embrace your culture more, there’s nothing to be ashamed of when your foundation is pure excellence.
Third, never think you’re too good to learn something new because you’ll be learning for the rest of your life. Fourth, stop trying to live someone else’s dream for your life, take the steps to create your own. Last, it's not only something for my younger self but to all young women, women are not sexual items for the taking. Always value yourself as a queen and never anything less than that.
GIVE THOSE WHO WANT TO BE AN INFLUENCER FIVE TIPS ON HOW TO GET THERE
#1 Pay attention to your environment and the things that matter so you can build a solid platform in and out of the digital world.
#2 It’s about the people that consistently want to engage with you, not the amount of followers.
#3 Know when you have to cut it off and take a moment for yourself to recollect (it’s insane to be soaked into your phone 24/7).
#4 Figure out what your end goal is in using your platform, always ask yourself how can I make something that’s worth it and long term
#5 Fuck what people think and be yourself, it’s important that you don’t just become another recycled personality.
